Bryan is an attorney licensed to practice law in Texas (2013) and New Mexico (2014). Bryan focuses his practice on business and commercial transactions, commercial and residential real estate, probate, wills and trusts, entity formation/management, evictions, foreclosures, and general oil and gas law. Bryan also has experience in commercial litigation/collections and advises clients in a wide variety of ongoing business and contractual matters.

Bryan earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin in 2010. While at the University of Texas, Bryan played on the Texas Men’s Water Polo team and was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. After that, Bryan graduated cum laude from the Texas Tech University School of Law in 2013. While in law school, Bryan was an officer of the Estate Planning & Community Property Law Journal and was a member of the Board of Barristers. Bryan was published in his third year of law school at Marriage and Minerals in Texas: Confronting the Community Property Presumption and Potential Improvements in California, 5 Est. Plan. & Cmty. Prop. L.J. 195 (2013).

Bryan has been licensed to practice law in Texas since November of 2013. Bryan was sworn in by the Supreme Court of New Mexico and licensed to practice law in the state courts of New Mexico in 2014. He brings ten years of experience practicing law as an associate and partner at two well established law firms in Odessa, Texas, where he represented and advised clients in a variety of legal matters including business formation, asset/stock purchase and sale transactions, commercial litigation, commercial and residential real estate, oil and gas transactions for landowners and operators, oil and gas related collections and litigation, wills, probate, estate administration, estate planning, and federal and state tax audits of businesses and individuals.

Bryan grew up in Midland, Texas and comes from a proud West Texas family. Bryan was a graduate of Midland Lee High School and played cello in the symphony, StrictLee Strings, and was on the swim team. He is a strong believer in serving and giving back to his local community. Bryan was a member of Young Professionals of Odessa, a program of the Odessa Chamber of Commerce, and is a former member of the Board of Directors. He served as the Board Chairman in 2017 and Treasurer in 2018, spearheading the establishment of the annual Odessa Under 40 awards. Bryan is a member of the 2019 Odessa Under 40 class after nomination by his peers and selection by an esteemed panel of judges from the Odessa, Texas community. He has also been the Chairman of Young Professionals of Odessa’s Service Committee, as well as the Fundraising Committee. Mackay Law Firm, PLLC is currently a member of the Midland Chamber of Commerce and Bryan is a member of the Midland County Bar Association.

Bryan’s commitment to service extended beyond Young Professionals. His resume includes service as a Catholic Charities of Odessa Board Member (2015-2016), the Ector County Bar Association President (2016-2017) and Treasurer (2015-2016), Ector County Service to the Bar Award winner for 2015-2016, United Way Legal Committee Chair for 2016 and 2017, Attorney of the Year award winner through Legal Aid of North West Texas for 2020, Spirit of Pro Bono Award winner through Legal Aid of North West Texas for 2025, and former Ector County Young Lawyers President and Treasurer. Bryan was elected as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation in 2021-2022. Bryan also served on the state-wide board of the Texas Young Lawyers Association for District 17 (an elected position) where he was awarded the TYLA President’s Award of Merit for 2015-2016.
